Pengaruh Arang Sekam Padi Dan Pupuk Pullet Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Hasil Tanaman Jagung Manis (Zea mays L.) Pada Tanah Gambut

This study aims to determine the effect of the interaction of rice husk charcoal and pullet fertilizer on the growth and yield of sweet corn (Zea mays L.) on peat soils. This research was conducted at the Agricultural Extension Center (BPP), Jln. Berdikari Pal Lima, Jln. Bukit Batu 2, Kecamatan Pontianak Barat. Research time ± 3 months. With an altitude of 1-1.5 masl. Starting from the preparation of the planting media which starts in November 2022 until February 2023. The design used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) with a factorial pattern consisting of two factors. The first factor is rice husk charcoal with code A which consists of 3 treatment levels, namely a1 = 100 grams/polybag, a2 = 200 grams/polybag, a3 = 300 grams/polybag and the second factor is pullet fertilizer with code P consisting of 3 treatment levels namely p0 = 0 (without treatment), p1 = 10 grams/polybag, p2 = 15 grams/polybag. Thus there are 9 treatment combinations namely a1p0, a1p1, a1p2, a2p0, a2p1, a2p2, a3p0, a3p1, a3p2. Variables observed included plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), cob diameter (mm), cob weight (grams), cob length (cm), number of cob seed rows. The results showed that there was no interaction between rice husk charcoal and pullet fertilizer on the growth and yield of sweet corn in terms of all observed variables. However, there was an interaction between rice husk charcoal and pullet fertilizer on the number of leaves (strands) and the number of rows of sweet corn seeds. The highest average number of corn leaves was in the a1p2 treatment (12.56 strands) and the highest average number of seed rows was in the a1p2 treatment (15.56 seed rows).
