Abstrak
Many ways to increase the production of food crops, one of which is to create a good irrigation network on agricultural land. Of course not every farmland can be made irrigation networks, many things that must be taken into account, among others, hydro topography issues, the characteristics of existing river / river branches that affect the land to be irrigated, water quality, average water level to the land, conditions rainfall and climate, the carrying capacity of the soil for structures, the area of irrigated rice fields and. harmony of water / supply system arrangement and drainage. One of the success factors of rice cultivation and land / paddy field is located on how big the potential of water source in order to irrigate the area of irrigable rice field.
Hydrological analysts, such as rainfall, climate, percolation, evapotranspiration, irrigation water needs and hydrometric analysis, such as current velocity, wet river ranges are needed.
From the results of hydrological and hydrometry analysis will be said to be feasible if the water source discharge is greater than the water requirement for the plant according to lus of land to be irrigated.
