Analisis Farmer’s Share Bawang Merah di desa Lumban Suhi-Suhi Toruan Kecamatan Pangururan Kabupaten Samosir

Abstrak

The research objective is to analyze the farmer’s share of red onion in Lumban Suhi-Suhi Toruan, Pangururan District, Samosir Regency. Sampling was taken using a survey method regarding the red onion, starting from the farm gate (farmers) to the final consumer with using the "what happens school" approach. The analytical method used includes marketing margin analysis, which consists of marketing costs, profit margins, and profit margin ratios. The research show that at the farmer level, the price spread for trading costs is 25.6% of consumer prices with a share margin of 14.4%. At the collector level, the price spread for trading fees is 14% with a share margin of 26%. Meanwhile for retailers, the price spread for trading fees is 8% with a share margin of 12%. In general, the trading system channel in the research area is not yet efficient and unfair. This is because the distribution of profit margin ratios, profit margins, is not evenly distributed between farmers, wholesalers and retailers. Wholesalers are much more profitable, while the trade system functions are carried out the same as farmers and retailers.
