Abstract
Municipal waste is a major problem that has to be faced in almost all cities in Indonesia, which is until now still finding a good solution . Every day people always produce waste that approximately of 1-2 kg / person / day. The problem arises because in the area of the city today is difficult to find ideal landfills. Waste generated by society generally is too large of amount or volume when compared with the capacity of temporary landfills or in the landfills. For Local Government in some areas trying to find a good solution for waste management in their region is an important thing to do right now. One is to manage waste with the foreign company in the future this is expected to support the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) in reducing gas emissions . CDM has been designed to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) is designed to contribute to the sustainable development priorities of developing countries, as well as to assist the government and the private sector to achieve the greenhouse gas reduction targets them with a cost-effective manner. The host country set of sustainable development criteria include consideration of economic, social, and environment for CDM project approval.
