Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer of the fruit and vitamin b1 on the growth and yield of
cayenne pepper plants (Capsicum frustescens L.) on alluvial soils. The research was carried out from October 2021 to
December 2021 at panca Bhakti University, Jalan Kom Yos Soedarso, West Pontianak. This study used a Complete
Randomized Design (RAL), with a factorial pattern. The treatment consists of 2 factors, namely: The first factor of fruit
liquid organic fertilizer is codeD M, consisting of 3 levels of treatment, namely: M1 concentration (1%), M2 concentration
(2%) and M3 concentration (3%). The second factor of vitamin B1 with the code B, consists of 3 levels of treatment, namely:
B1 concentration (0.75%), B2 concentration (1.5%) and B3 concentration (2.25%). Each treatment is repeated 3 times and
each test consists of 3 plants. The variables observed in this study were plant height (cm), number of primary branches
(branches), number of fruits (fruit), and fruit weight per plant (grams). The results showed that the interaction of liquid
organic fertilizer of the fruit and vitamin b1 had an unreal effect on the growth and yield of cayenne pepper plants in terms
of all observation variables. The treatment of fruit liquid organic fertilizer has a significant effect on the number of leaves
where the m3 treatment (30 ml / liter of water) produces a number of leaves of 126.19 strands. The m1b3 treatment gave the
highest yield for the plant height variable (55.56 cm), the m3b1 treatment gave the highest yield for the variable number of
primary branches (14.78 branches) and the variable number of fruits (20.00 pieces), and the m2b3 treatment gave the
highest yield for the variable fruit weight per plant (13.96 grams). Vitamin b1 treatment has an intangible effect on plant
height, number of primary branches, number of leaves, number of fruits, and weight of fruits per plant.
