Abstract

The study aimed to determine the interaction of BiotoGrow fertilizer and Chicken Manure on the growth and yield of sweet corn plants (Zea may saccharata Sturt) in Peat soil. This study was conducted on Jalan 28 October Siantan, and lasted for 63 days starting from 11 April 2019 – 10 June 2019, This study used a Complete Randomized Design (RAL), with a factorial pattern. The treatment consists of 2 factors, namely: the first factor with the application of BiotoGrow fertilizer as many as 3 levels of treatment, the second factor of applying chicken manure 3 levels of treatment. Each treatment was repeated 3 times and the test consisted of plants, the number of plants was 6 x 27 = 162 plants. As for the sample plants, there are 3 plants per plot. The first factor of biotoGrow fertilizer with code (b) consists of 3 levels of concentration, namely: b1= biotoGrow fertilizer with a concentration of 0.3%, b2= biotoGrow fertilizer with a concentration of 0.6%, b3= biotoGrow fertilizer with a concentration of 0.9% The second factor is chicken manure with code (a) consisting of 3 levels of treatment, namely: a1 = chicken manure with a dose of5 tons / hetar (0.525 kg / plot), a2= chicken manure at a dose of 10 tons / hectare (1,050 kg / plot), a3= fertilizerCkandang chicken with a dose of 10 tons / hectare1,575 kg / plot). So that there are 9 treatment combinations, namely: b1a1, b1a2, b1a3, b2a1, b2a2, b2a3, b3a1, b3a2, b3a3. The variables observed in the study were Plant Height (cm), Number of Leaves (strands), Cob Weight Per Plant (gr), Cob Weight Per Plot (gr), Cob Diameter (cm), Cob Length (cm) and Environmental Factors. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the following things :P the behavior of BiotoGrow fertilizer has a very real effect on the variables of plant height, number of leaves, weight of planting cobs, cob weight per plot, cob diameter, and cob length. Meanwhile, the chicken manure treatment has no noticeable effect on all variables of the Bonanza F1 variety sweet corn plant. The level of B2 treatment gave the best results on all observed observation variables, namely plant height 224.12 cm, number of leaves 8.71 strands, planting cob weight 99.59 g, cob weight 515.56 g, cob diameter 5.15 cm, and cob length 20.81 cm. The level of treatment B1 gave the lowest results on all observed observation variables, namely plant height 200.21 cm, number of leaves 7.70 strands, planting cob weight 74.41 g, cob weight per plot 471.56 g, cob diameter 4.58 cm, and cob length 19.19 cm.
