PENGARUH APLIKASI KOMPOS JERAMI DAN ABU SEKAM PADI TERHADAP PRODUKSI DAN KADAR PATI UBIJALAR

Abstrak
The low productivity of cassava that cultivated on dry land due to availability of N, P, K, Ca and Mg and soil organic matter content is low. These soil conditions can be improved and optimized with technological innovations based on the local situation, namely: fertilizing, liming / ameleorasi, use organic fertilizer and biology fertilizer / life sciences. Application of fertilizer with organic fertilizer that contains nutrients, N, P, and K by utilizing waste rice crop is expected to address the problem of low productivity of sweet potato. In addition to increased and to improved the productivity expected on cassava plant. Food industry needs sweet potato with certain qualities such as high in starch content in the tuber resulting from. Study of the production and characterization of physicochemical and functional properties of tubers and sweet potato starch, fertilization is very important role as opening the way for the utilization of more sweet potatoes. This study aimed is to obtain the optimum dose of composted straw and rice husk ash which produces productivity and high starch content in sweet potatoes. Research conducted at Kebun Percobaan Badan Pengkajian Teknologi Pangan (BPTP), West Kalimantan Province at Desa Pal IX Kubu Raya, West Kalimantan. This study was conducted from May 2015 to November 2015. Research using a randomized block design (RAK) consisting of two factors. The first factor using dose straw compost rice which consists of four levels, namely: K1 = 5 tones / ha (2 kg / plot), K2 = 10 tonnes / ha (2 kg / plot), K3 = 15 tonnes / ha (3 kg / plot), K4 = 20 tones / ha (4 kg / plot). The second factor using dose of rice husk ash which consists of four levels, namely: A1 = a dose of 10 ton / ha, (2 kg / plot), A2 = dose of 15 ton / ha (3 kg / plot), A3 = 20 tones / ha. (4 kilos / plot). Every combination of the treatment in three replications so that there are 48 units there will be a trial. The result of the research addressing the interaction of composting rice straw and rice husk ash significantly growth, quantity and quality of the sweet potato crop production. K4A3 treatment doses of 20 ton / ha of straw rice and 20 tones / ha of rice husk ash is giving growth, the quantity and quality of crop production of sweet potatoes but has not shown the optimum dose.
